If we were a skincare brand: we'd launch our range in a hammam

The short answer If we were launching a skincare range tomorrow, we would book out a hammam in Marrakech: a scrub ritual reinvented with the new products, an ingredients workshop around argan, rose and ghassoul, a relaxation lounge turned press room, dinner on the rooftops and a venue designed for Reels. The hammam is the oldest skincare ritual there is: the perfect setting to tell the story of a routine.

A skincare launch is often a white room, a row of bottles and a talk about the formula. Guests leave with a sample, rarely with a memory.

If we were a skincare brand, we would do the opposite: take everyone to the hammam. Steam, zellige tiles, black soap, rose water, mint tea: face and body care has been lived here for centuries. All we'd have to do is slip our products in. Here's our plan.

01

The private hammam

We book out a traditional hammam, or a riad's own, in Marrakech: domes, zellige, filtered light, steam. Guests arrive in robes embroidered with the brand's name, babouches on their feet, and discover the products laid out on tadelakt benches.

The venue does most of the work: warm, enveloping, sensory. We simply dress it in the range's colours, with towels, candles and copper bowls.

02

The ritual, reinvented

Experience Treatment Signature

The heart of the launch: the hammam ritual, rewritten with the new products. A kessa glove scrub, a body wrap, a rose water rinse, then the brand's routine applied by therapists.

Each step of the ritual matches a product in the range. Guests don't read the routine on a card: they live it, in order, from head to toe.

03

The ingredients workshop

Workshop Ingredients Creators

In the courtyard, a long table of raw ingredients: argan oil, rose petals from the Dadès valley, ghassoul clay, black soap, orange blossom. With a formulator or a herbalist, guests smell, touch and mix their own mask.

It's a chance to tell the formula's story differently: no more talk of actives, just the raw materials on show. And for content creators, those textures and colours are irresistible.

04

The relaxation lounge turned press room

After the treatment, everyone moves to the relaxation lounge: cushions, mint tea, pastries. That's where the founder and the brand's experts meet journalists, in small groups and in robes.

Relaxed interviews in a setting that makes people want to write: far more effective than a press conference in a meeting room.

05

Content designed for Reels

Content Social media Virality

Skincare ritual Reels are doing really well right now, and the hammam is a dream backdrop: steam, the kessa glove, black soap lather, water running over zellige, glowing skin on the way out.

So we design the venue like a set: soft filtered light, corners planned for filming without fogging up, and a ready-made shot list for invited creators. The result: dozens of Reels in line with your campaign, filmed in a setting you won't see anywhere else.

06

Dinner on the rooftops

Party Dinner Marrakech

As night falls, we head up to the riad's rooftops: a long table, lanterns, couscous and tagines, Gnawa musicians and then a DJ. Guests, relaxed and glowing, carry on the experience under the stars.

This is the moment the brand becomes a travel memory, the one everyone will talk about when they get home.

And the gifting?

We finish with a woven basket: the full range, a kessa glove, black soap, a bottle of rose water and a hand-written card. The hammam to take home, and a gift made to be unboxed on camera.

Frequently asked questions

How do you organise a skincare range launch?

Start from the routine and the ingredients, choose a venue where guests can experience the products rather than just look at them, invite press and content creators, and design every space to produce images. A two- or three-day press trip works very well for a skincare brand.

Why launch beauty products in a hammam?

Because the hammam is a skincare ritual in its own right: it lets guests try the routine for real, it's highly photogenic, and it tells the story of natural ingredients (argan, rose, black soap) that skincare brands often put forward.

Can you organise a beauty press trip to Marrakech?

Yes. Marrakech is around three hours' flight from Paris, has hammams, riads and hotels that can be booked out, and is an ideal setting for a two- or three-day beauty press trip. Agence Dare-Dare runs events there with teams on the ground.

A skincare range is a routine. Our job is to turn it into a ritual people live, feel and film, from the hammam's steam to the rooftops of Marrakech.
